EvCC Women's Soccer matched up against an undefeated Edmonds team this afternoon coming off back to back wins over Shoreline and Skagit Valley. The Trojans record coming into today's match was 2-6-2 against a 5-0-2 Edmonds squad.
Emma Allison started in goal for a hungry Trojans team. Starting off the first half of play, the Trojans played well and hung around with the first place Tritons. This match is the second of three between the two teams where Edmonds last took a demanding 7-2 victory over the Trojans.
In the 22nd minute, the Tritons would score their first goal to give them a 1-0 lead. Emma Allison kept the Trojans in the game by coming up with a few big saves in the first half to hold the Tritons to a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
The second half of play started and the Trojans came out battling. In the second half, Everett put up 6 shots on goal but could not get one to fall. It wasn't until the 85th minute where another goal would be scored by Edmonds to put the game away 2-0.
This match marks another win for Edmonds toward the T-Cup. The Trojans have one more shot at top ranked Edmonds on Saturday October 13th at home. Be sure to mark your calendars.
